O365 question

Hi Experts

as i know, if i want to restrict a user from using one or some of o365 apps

i can do this from admin center and give him access about what i want

but how can do this for 1000 users as global settings

for example, i have 1000 users

1- how can i assign license for 1000 user of course i will not do this manually but how i can do this globally on the tenant or automatically

2- the same to restrict the access to the applications

but this need Azure AD plan 1, and we have the free one

Yes Azure AD Premium P1 is mandatory for group based licensing. MS just give you a trail so that you got to know how good it is, then you purchase it. Imagine assigning licenses manually to each and every user.

OR if you do not want to use AD Premium P1 or group based licensing then you will have to use powershell scripts to assign licenses in bulk. For script you can follow below article.

You'll pay for this in some way.

1) Time it takes to manually change 1000x users, each time you must change 1x setting.

2) Or... Money required for a paid subscription, so you can make changes across any number of users quickly.

Likely the "Money" option will be better, because if you change 1000x users by hand... sometime in the future you'll have to do this again for some other setting.

Likely your "Time" is far more valuable then the "Money" required for a paid subscription.
