Code sharing solution

I found this solution at codeshare.io that works ok for sharing code and does it for free and without any need for downloading anything. They allow the public access to the code by simply sharing a link, and they have lots of different options for coloring the syntax depending upon the type of code making it easy to read.

The problem comes in though when trying to determine what has been changed. Therefore, I am now on the lookout for something that is just as easy to use, that would allow me to track changes to some degree.

Assistance in finding something else free, but with this tracking capability is greatly appreciated.

So far, we have the following:
callhub.io - Here we have no ability to track edits but anyone can edit without an account.
github.com/new - Here anyone can view but no edits at all are allowed without approval on a per-user basis.

It appears that Visual studio also uses github repositories, so github does seem the way to go for now.

Then there is gitlab ( https://gitlab.com/ )  if you which to avoid Microsoft.

github/gitlab (and others) use git as code management tool. which is a generic tool, that just synchronizes repositories.  and allows for code submission & inclusion using standardized procedures.
