iPad/MacBook: Need quick way to delete all photos from photo library

The iPhone/iPad startup moved a large number of photos to the iPad, and I would like to delete them all. Same on the MacBook and iPhone.

On the Mac, I have found the file and deleted it. Where do I find that file?

And on the iPad, how do I do the same?

On the iPhone, the Select option requires

Thanks

Much is missing from your question.

Commonly, photos and similar are shared across devices via the iCloud.

Is this the source if your pictures?

Note deleting them from iCloud makes the deletion permanent.

Do you use the same applied across the devices?
Your question is unclear.

What do you mean by startup? Did you buy or start using a new device? Which one?

Your last sentence is not complete. ‘ option requires’.

Suggestion: proofread your question before you submit?

Sorry, I should have reread that post. My mistake.

All that is important is I need to delete my entire photo album on my iPad and the same on my MacBook. In the past, I have found the file, on my MacBook, to do this. What is that file called, or what extension does it have for Photos app, on the MacBook?

Also, I would like to clear out all images (also from Photos) on my iPad. How do I do this?

Thanks

This is not iCloud. This is the old fashioned, I need to find the file and delete it.

Next import, Photos will create that file, when none is found (MacBook).

I need to find the file on my MacBook and my iPad. I need to rest the album to zero in both places.

The following iPad technique seems no longer supported on the iPad, latest OS:
https://www.google.com/search?q=removing+all+pictures+from+iPad+Photos&rlz=1C5CHFA_enUS664US664&oq=removing+all+pictures+from+iPad+Photos&aqs=chrome..69i57j33i22i29i30.8535j1j15&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8#kpvalbx=_0NjhYNSrB_-E9PwPj-aQ8AY47

Do you know how to reset all Photos to empty?
When you looking at the album, are you not able to select the image and delete it?
Or look at the image info to see where it is?
