How to make the COM Port Visible without connecting a gadget

We have worked very hard to make sure our serial port gadget is now visible connected and responding over the internet without the help of the third part software.

The final part which is now proving  to be a problem is to select the correct COM port on the remote computer that are not directly connected to this gadget. When you want to select the correct COM port they are hidden unless you connect the gadget directly only then can you see it.

Is there a way to sort out this ? so that the COM port can be selected without necessarily attaching the serial port gadget, if this works then our challenge will be over.

Wasn't this a digital signing device? Doing this over the internet can defeat the purpose of this device.

For your problem: What software do you actually use?

ASKER

We are using Ms Access , all we need is to be able to save the correct COM port in the device manager no other settings are required that is where the problem is.

If we attach the gadget directly then we can see the COM port, but we want to be able to see the COM ports without the need to attached the gadget so that people are able to select it via device manager
