Unix/Linux : Difference between commands Less & More

I have used both commands interchangeably.

Can any one list the exact difference between them?  when will they be useful to use

I only use 'less' these days.

I think the last time I used 'more' was about 1993.

I don't recall 'less' being unavailable for a very long time.

Think of less as more++.

Same functions as more, with additional functions.

Besides additional navigation, less... only reads file chunks, whereas most more implementations ingest/slurp the entire file before producing output.

The history of less likely began when someone was viewing large files + more took... a very long time to do initial file load.
