can't access shared folder message
Purchased a Buffalo NAS model# LS210D0661 and set it up with a shared folder. I can't access the folder unless I change the group policy of the computer that I want to connect to the NAS. I have to enable "insecure guest logons." Is there a way to accomplish access to the NAS folder without messing with group policy? Possibly on the NAS admin web interface side of the things?

Add the folder with username/password protection. Then the user will get a login prompt when connecting. That's safe, and you won't get any warnings.
See if you can enable SMB2 on your NAS:

Natively the LS 210D is configured for SMB 1.0 only, you should be able to modify this yourself though.
Make sure your NAS uses the newest firmware.

I have found that some computers can get to the drive without enabling insecure guest logins. Any reason why this would be?
