Looking for a Hosted DRM Solution
I have never had a similar request in my 20 years at the firm, however one of the senior partners wants to distribute a confidential document to other senior partners. He needs to prevent printing, saving, copying, screen shots, and forwarding.
IManage (our DMS) does not include this functionality but found several third party solutions including but not limited to LockLizard, FileOpen, and DIgify.
Based upon preliminary review, LockLizard appears to provide the best functionality, and while the firm likely would have no problem purchasing a one year subscription, this situation could a "one off," and we may never need this solution again. I submit spending $6K for a one off situation is excessive.
I doubt any solution will prevent using your iPhone to take photos of the pages while they are being displayed, but I will explain that risk when I submit potential solutions.
Looking for perhaps a cloud based solution that sells the service on a per-document and / or per-originator basis.
Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Actually not entirely correct. Take a look at the LockLizard web site. https://www.locklizard.com/stop-sharing-printing/
It suggests it can do all of that I believe through a hosted web portal, including preventing screen shots with the exception of course what I had suggested, pictures from a camera phone.

nothing to stop a user from using snagit or hitting ctrl-printscrn and pasting it somewhere i.e. mspaint

Are you and office 365 customer? you can enable Information Rights Management for SharePoint
