Access Multiple Users on LAN or WAM

Hi

I have never tried to use Access over a LAN or WAN.
I have a split database solution with forms in the front end and tables in the backend.
If I have 5 to 10 users with the front end on their machines can they interact with my backend
tables housed in one database file at the same time.
What are the pros and cons here
Thanks
