I am looking to buy a new computer and looking at Dell Inspirons which are cheaper than the OptiPlexes.  My thinking is that since I use it for office work, remote work and zoom, I just need a decent performing PC and then I can upgrade the machine with a better graphics card so that I can have triple screen. My question is what are the real difference between some PCs?  Do the Inspirons and OptiPlexes have different motherboards and bus speeds beside the actual processor?  As far as I'm concerned, I just need a fast SSD drive with an i3 processor and 8 - 16 GB or RAM and that should perform well above my needs.  Aren't these machines for the most part similar with just differences mainly on graphic cards, processors, RAM and other minor components.  In most cases, it seems like getting a bare bones cheaper model and then making a few upgrades saves a lot of dollars.  Any thoughts on this?
