Blocking IP addresses in Windows Server 2016
Hi,
I have Windows 2016 HyperV Server with two network adapter:
(1) one for the local network (192.168.1.x)
(2) one for dynamic public static IP (66.216.x.x) given by local ISP. I have this to set up a virtual machine that would be directly exposed to public internet.
As expected, I am getting lots of attempts where foreign actors (mostly from Russia) try to gain access to this server.
Is there a way to block these IP addresses 94.232.x.x, 87.251.x.x in a IP block list on ongoing basis?

I don't think blocking certain IP ranges is going to help much. First of all there might also be the occasional legitimate IP address even if it is located in Russia or China...
Besides that, the serious hackers will probably not be that easily located, as they can either spoof their IP's or for example use a VPN or some other method to hide themselves.
