One way to do it is with ImageMagick:<br />

There's a dizzying array of choices there. It probably doesn't matter which one you install, unless you're on 32-bit Windows, in which case you must install an x86 version.<br />
<br />
The most common conversion sub-command is <mark>convert</mark>, but you should also look at <mark>montage</mark>.<br />
<br />
This is similar to what I documented in my GraphicsMagick article (GraphicsMagick is a fork of ImageMagick):<br />

Back to ImageMagick. You may use it to convert a single file, such as:<br />

But the <mark>convert</mark> sub-command allows wildcards, so if you have a folder of HEIC files, you can do something like this:<br />
