Dell PowerEdge T110 II HDD to SSD Clone in Raid 1 array

Hi
I have a Dell PowerEdge T110 II
I currently have 2 x 1 TB SATA HDD's in a raid 1 mirror via the PERC H200 Controller
I need to replace these HDD's with 2 x 2 TB SATA SSD's

Can I simply go ahead and remote one of the 1TB HDD's and replace with one 2TB SSD to basically add as new spare in the raid array? Then once process completed remove the other 1TB HDD and replace with 2nd 2TB SSD? I have seen this suggestion on some forums but also with advise against this so not sure which way to go about this? Or should I rather somehow just clone the drives? If you could please share the recommended method and step by step please

It should work fine. But I'd still make a safety backup before starting as things can always go wrong. Think of Murphy's law.

Also, in order to be able to use the extra space you may need to expand the Array (or add a 2nd one) using your PERc's utility, & after that, depending on the OS running, also add the extra space there...

Storage

Computer data storage, often called storage or memory, is a technology consisting of computer components and recording media used to retain digital data. In addition to local storage devices like CD and DVD readers, hard drives and flash drives, solid state drives can hold enormous amounts of data in a very small device. Cloud services and other new forms of remote storage also add to the capacity of devices and their ability to access more data without building additional data storage into a device.
