We are running Trend Micro Worry Free Security Anti-Virus Client on all out network PC's and some servers on my local area network. This is a cloud base service which requires the installation package to be downloaded and install in each computer. We are observing the HostedAgent.exe, which is used by the Anti-Virus applicant do check for and download new anti-virus signature from the Trend Micro Cloud, also communicating with other computer on our network.
I opened a support ticket with Trend to report this activity and the support person said it was unusual behavior ask me to download a tool to trouble shoot the issue and collect data from one of my computer so he could analyze to logs. After a week the support person told me the activity was normal. When I asked to speak to an Trend Micro engineer I got no response.
Is there anyone here using Trend Micro Worry Free Security Anti-Virus and if so are you experiencing similar behavior? I was able to detect the cross talk using Resource Monitor. I have a MS Windows environment running Windows 10 on most of our computer with less than a hand full of Windows 8 computers.
