starting from when you joined the office, you were hardly spent time taking care of parents. Was there anybody out there ready to take up responsibilities to serve them except my family, was there any alternate option?
This period had not been limited to one month/year -- consecutively 2 decades, till they were alive, they had been served 24/7 and taken care of no less than as infants.
By virtue, parents couldn't even think of living outside of the village, if you were truly concerned for them during that period, then no option but to abandon the job or ignore them.
The role you played when they were alive is well known, very limited compared to what my family did, You never were part of role serving them, if there was any, which could be trivial, a drop in ocean compared to what we did.
Any wise person considers taking care of old age parents as one of the primary & pious responsibilities at their old age, if you compare, you stand not even at a distant from what my family did to father, in sacrificing the time and efforts gone by.
