How Do I Find the Mystery Room in My Smart Home?

We have two Feit (Tuya Smart?) bulbs in the bedroom. The bulbs are creatively named "Bedroom 1" and "Bedroom 2." When I say "Hey Google, turn on bedroom," the two bulbs turn on. "Hey Google" also turns them off, and can also turn the individual bulbs off or on by bulb name. I cannot figure out what app is responsible for the name Bedroom.

I control my smart devices through a Google Home Mini; it is the only assistant that I talk to. I also have a few routines I do with Alexa. I used SmartThings several years ago with some water sensors. I also have SensorPush, but that doesn't communicate with others. I use "Hey Google" to control Feit bulbs, VeSync plugs, and Nest thermostats. These are all set up in their individual apps on an Android phone.

When I say "Hey Google, turn on bedroom," Bedroom 1 and Bedroom 2 turn on. In the Feit app, if I rename Bedroom 1 to Bedroom 9, Hey Google recognizes Bedroom 9 both individually and as a part of Bedroom. Feit passes the name on to Google Home. I have looked through Google Home, Alexa, and SmartThings and cannot find a room, group, home, scene, or routine named Bedroom.

We have one other quirk. Up until about a year ago, we could say "Hey Google, turn on Living Room." That command would turn on two Feit bulbs (Living Room 1 and 2). Now when we give the command, Google responds with "Sorry. Power control is not supported yet." We now just turn those bulbs on with individual commands. It's so hard; all those extra words!

We have a few bulbs that stopped working, and I need to get new bulbs into the appropriate rooms. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

In my original message, I said the following:
In the Feit app, if I rename Bedroom 1 to Bedroom 9, Hey Google recognizes Bedroom 9 both individually and as a part of Bedroom. Feit passes the name on to Google Home.
I did more testing, and Hey Google accepts both Bedroom 1 and Bedroom 9 for the same bulb.

  1. Unlink your Google account in Tuya Smart app.
  2. Try a Hey Google command
  3. Rename the name of Bedroom from Bedroom 1 to [User] Bedroom... say Dan Bedroom
  4. Relink your Google account in Tuya Smart app.

If your Google Hey command to control the light bulb still work after you remove the link to Google account, it means that there are other apps to maintain the link and you need to look into every app you use for the Google Home integration.

The unlinking happens in Google Home. When I unlinked all of my Works with Google Linked Services in Google Home (Feit, Nest, and VeSync) "Hey Google, turn on Bedroom" does not work. When I linked only Feit, that command turned on Bedroom 1 and Bedroom 2. In Feit, there are no Groups, Scenes, or Automations.

When I say "Hey Google, turn on Bedroom," Feit's Bedroom 1 and Bedroom 2 turn on.
When I say "Hey Google, turn on Office," Feit's Office 1 and Office 2 turn on.

Neither Feit nor Google Home have a Bedroom or Office group.

Welcome to The Singularity.

(FYI, the bulbs and the app are Feit. When I close the Feit app a message appears that Tuya Smart has closed.)
Have you tried to rename the Bedroom in Feit app?

For example: From "Bedroom 1" to "Dan Bedroom"
