VMRS files on Hyper-V Host
Hi All,
I have serveral .VMRS files from april to July adding up to about 130gb)
I need to reclaim this space but not sure if I can simply delete them. They are in my snapshots folder but the vm has no snapshots listed.
There is also a .vmrs file that is current with a .vmcx file located in the VM folder which are todays date.
So I do not think the old ones are in use, but what happens if I delete them? I need the disk space for sure.
Regards
Stuart

Thanks both for the comments.
I will be moving 1 of the VM's onto another host so space will not be an issue.
I will also power down the VM's and remove the .VMRS files so that we can get the backups running again.
Many thanks for the suggestions.

So you are not doing to get the disk space back, time to invest in more storage, if space is getting tight.
