How to fix Adobe can't reach internet to verify my subscription?

I can't sign into Adobe creative cloud. I get a message when I'm using the creative cloud log in and I get the second message when I try to log into illustrator.
I'm using Malware bytes and Windows 7 defender.
I turned off my malware bytes completely and STILL no success.

time to get off windows 7; no longer supported
Windows 10 1809 is the minimum supported
they may have done what microsoft did with the onedrive client for windows 7 - block it from communicating with the cloud service
