Database is stuck in restoring mode

We get a backup file from a vendor every night.   I detach the database and restore it.   The restore process hung so I canceled it.  You can't delete a database when it is attached...  but there was a database in the normal restore location.  So I deleted the database and log file.  Now the server says the database is still in restore mode even though the database no longer exists.  How do I fix this?  Since it is a backup of a database, I just need to do a restore, but the backup has one name for the database and the process the vendor has in place restores it to a different name so I need to do that.
