build process W10 Laptops

I am interested to learn the basics as to what the common tools and procedures are these days for building end user devices such as Windows 10 laptops in a corporate environment. And how much effort is involved in the process, from receipt of the hardware, to issue to the end user staff member, timewise etc, or is it all relatively automated and effortless?
Can you provide some insight into the process and various stages from start to finish, including what tools/solutions are used along the way to automate the process, for someone who doesn’t work in that area, as to what your process is for building/issuing devices to corporate standards from receipt to issue to the end user.
Also, after issuing the newly built device to the employee, what are your primary tool(s) do you then use to "manage" the device in your environment?
