Moving files in Qnap NAS

How do I move files in a Qnap Nas without having to copy from one folder to another from a PC which is too much traffic to move?  I cannot simply rename the folder and share it as what needs to be moved is several folders that are a few folders deep.
Is there some snap utility that will allow you to move folders directly on the NAS itself without going through computer?

Check the options you have for your NAS. Many have a utility installed which can copy it's contents to a USB HD connected to the NAS (many have USB ports). Often they also have a utility that can backup itself to another NAS.
if the files and folders are on the same volume, it should be fairly quick since the only thing changing is a reference in the file system as to where to find it; not physically moving data anywhere

if you are moving files and folders across volumes, that will be different
