if the files and folders are on the same volume, it should be fairly quick since the only thing changing is a reference in the file system as to where to find it; not physically moving data anywhere<br><br>if you are moving files and folders across volumes, that will be different

How do I move files in a Qnap Nas without having to copy from one folder to another from a PC which is too much traffic to move? &nbsp;I cannot simply rename the folder and share it as what needs to be moved is several folders that are a few folders deep.<br>Is there some snap utility that will allow you to move folders directly on the NAS itself without going through computer?
