Hello,

thank you, so i can go ahead and just raise it to a max of 2016, i dont have to do anything to prepare exchange for the upgrade? i just want to make sure that i dont raise it and there was a step i should of taken with exchange before raisingit.

Thanks
I don't know that is you exact actual level of functionality.

But changing the functional level is rarely a problem.

Here is a little indication about the changes until Windows 2012 R2:

well it is currently still at 2003 function level, which  definitely needs to be upgraded. I Would like to move it up to 2012 Function level as that is the lowest DC on the network currently, but am just trying to be sure i wont cause any issues with the exchange server as we plan to upgrade that soon as well but need to raise the domain function level to accommodate the new versions of exchange.

Thanks
exchange is fine with it, based on the supportability matrix.
