asked on

sql import

I have a big problem
I exported my sql database from my previous xampp  as the computer was in a bad way
I managed to export the database as a .sql file but the device then crashed and I cannot get any more data from it
When I try to import the .sql file into the latest WAMP on my pc using phpmyadmin I get the following errors and the table structure is all wrong
I have all the htdocs files from a backup but obviously I need the database tables

Ok folks
I have just located a sql dump which I managed to do only a few days ago - Phew111111111111
This was created using the mysql dump command
Imported successfully
I have no idea why the sql file (attached) exported using PHPMyAdmin was no good!

The error being reported suggests your MariaDB/MySQL table schema data was corrupt.

Glad you found a backup that worked!

Tip: Setup backups to dump + compress + save your database every night, then keep a few weeks or months of backups, so you always have at least 1x working backup.
