asked on

send files with we transfer free

when i try to send a file with WT - the send button is greyed out
internet suggest agreeing to their use but nothing shows on the page to agree to

how solve this?

I just tried WT, it first asks for Cookie  allowd etc.
Then it asks if you accept the Term & Conditions
Then you can add files & mail etc.

Do you have a tool to filter javascript - popups or do you filter access to some google sites, that might block jquery etc.
So maybe check those out.
  • It looks like it has you choose accept as noci stated above.
  • Make sure you have all fields filled out and clicked into.
  • Try another browser perhaps and compare.
  • Clear your cache and history a bit potentially also.

I just tested both Edge and Chrome where they were both fine, you get an I Agree prompt at first. Please ensure you have all fields clicked into and filled out, scroll down also. Sometimes you need to click into the very end of a field e.g. the address and hit the spacebar or go back via Backspace if the field is still blue to has auto-suggestion\pre-population if its still grey also make sure you type a message at the bottom.

Can you test another browser also?

Also, test another file or another file type.


There are file size limitations, but it would probably provide an error right off the bat

Do you use Gmail, or any of the other SSO options, I did not but still try perhaps that way

There was a prompt regarding cookies in the bottom right at one point.

Jazz - as i showed in the pic -  i don't get that "i agree " button
You may have clicked on it in the past, or is it the first time using WT, either way you don't get the agree button it appears once you use WT once it remembers.
You can search for WeTransfer in your browser in the upper right three dots then history clear out your cache or WeTransfer entries potentially as if you are using the site for the first time
