Emails from Exchange Server are not syncing regularly in Apple Mail

Dear All.

I am having this very weird problem whereby the emails that are being received in a mailbox on an Exchange Server 2013 are not automatically received on the IPhone/Ipad Mail App. I have updated the exchange servers to the latest Cumulative Update and the problem still persists. I have also tried to reduce the time frame of emails to be downloaded and this issue isn't resolved. I am open to any suggestions to resolve this matter.

Surprisingly the same mailbox configured on Outlook App seems to be working fine. The directors are bent on "This was working before, and why has it stopped working now??" thus are reluctant to use the Outlook App.

You may try a packet trace on the IP nr of the iPhone/iPad.
If you see the iPhone/iPad isn't continuously communicating with the server at the previously set interval (assuming that from what you wrote, you don't have it set to PUSH, but to retrieve every xx minutes), it's definitely an iOS/Apple Mail fault which you probably can't solve (since there's not much to tweak in the app).
If it IS requesting at the correct intervals, look at the Exchange server logs for more clues.

Are you sure btw, that you're not having the usual split DNS problem? (Connecting in the LAN environment with the FQDN, that's not separately input in your DNS server)

try installing a lower version of IPhone/Ipad Mail App and check whether it works on it.

Good Morning Everyone. This one has taken some time to resolve, but I managed to find out that there is an issue with the Native Mail with the new iOS. The outlook app works fine, as well as Microsoft Outlook on desktop are in good working order. Therefore I have asked the users to use Microsoft Outlook App on their phone until further updates from Apple to resolve the Apple Mail issue.
