Sounds like a short, or a fault causing the thing to shutdown.<br />

Lenovos are known for power jacks separating from the motherboard. &nbsp;I would investigate that possibility.<br />

Eject the battery and reinstall it so that the contacts wipe clean.<br />

Do not attempt to run the system without a battery installed. &nbsp;Most laptops won't run in that state.<br />

Borrow an identical AC adapter from another system of the same type. &nbsp;Plug it into the system and wait an hour. &nbsp;If the problem persists, chances are that (a) the battery suddenly died or (b, more likely) the power jack has been broken off the motherboard. &nbsp;This often means a motherboard replacement, as the amount of force required to break away the power jack can damage the multi-layer motherboard beyond repair.

From the AC outlet, the cable after the block, or the connection near the plug to the laptop?<br />

Check your adapter if not mistaken, it would be a 19v 4A 2.5 mmx5mm<br />

Another thing to try, is to see if the plug is loose in the housing.<br />
I.e. The thing cracked.and has inter,intent contact at a specific inflection.

No, I also took it to tech2U, and they had another power adapter, and the board is bad as well.<br><br>So I have to buy another laptop, it's not worth changing the MB, as the laptop is like 10 yrs old or so.

I have a Lenovo Thinkpad X201, with an SSD, and windows 10.
