I am trying to disable NTLM authentication in our domain by setting the Group Policy "Network security: Restrict NTLM: NTLM authentication in this domain" to "Deny all".  However, we have copiers that transfer scans via SMB and rely on NTLM.  I added one copier's NetBIOS name to the policy "Network security: Restrict NTLM: Add server exceptions for NTLM authentication in this domain" but the copier is still unable to authenticate.  To confirm, I did not add a FQDN since the copier is not domain joined.

Does anybody have a suggestion of what I might be missing to add this exception and allow the copier to authenticate successfully?

Thanks in advance!
