asked on

why am i not getting 5tb on one drive after changing the one drive quota?

we have an e3 license which includes a sharepoint 2 plan.

sharepoint 2 plans can potentially give us an unlimited amount of storage for one drive.  you have to contact microsoft to remove the 5tb limit.

I have a user who hasnt reached that limit but is above the default 1tb limit.  Why isnt she getting the allocated 5tb i assigned?

From the same page you have shared

Unlimited personal cloud storage for qualifying plans for subscriptions of five or more users, otherwise 1 TB/user. Microsoft will initially provide 1 TB/user of OneDrive for Business storage, which admins can increase to 5 TB/user. Request additional storage by contacting Microsoft support. Storage up to 25 TB/user is provisioned in OneDrive for Business. Beyond 25 TB, storage is provisioned as 25 TB SharePoint team sites to individual users.

Talk to Microsoft Support that's the quickest way to get your limit bumped up.
How did you make the changes exactly, sorry it was unclear? I was recently assisting on a similar question a little over a week ago. Mostly, some have used PowerShell to apply storage change capacity on OneDrive. If it's still not working as Chinmay stated it would be best to reach out to Microsoft to apply the changes you're seeking, sometimes only then you're able to modify or apply a change to the amount a user has, but Microsoft should be able to see why if there is an issue or examine that account further:

Storage

Computer data storage, often called storage or memory, is a technology consisting of computer components and recording media used to retain digital data. In addition to local storage devices like CD and DVD readers, hard drives and flash drives, solid state drives can hold enormous amounts of data in a very small device. Cloud services and other new forms of remote storage also add to the capacity of devices and their ability to access more data without building additional data storage into a device.
