Power BI - use same query against new dataset

I am new to power bi and i need to create weekly reports based off data collected in an excel format. I have taken the "week 1" data and created a basic report with the data. My query for the data included duplicating the table to do some math against and removing rows and renaming columns.

I now have "week 2" data. How can I apply the same query that was used to modify the tables for the week 1 data?

I'm using power bi desktop with power query editor. I tried that and when i choose new source and apply it brings the data in as a table but it doesn't apply the steps that i have from the first table I used when setting up the query ...

For example the table comes with the top 4 rows as information on when the report was run. I remove the top 5 rows (5th row are the headers for the table) and rename the columns. It did not do that to the new data source.

It should do that.  It sounds like the two sources (data1 and data2) are in the same format.  How did you change the source?  You need to do that on the original query that brought data1 in...

Maybe this helps.
