Adjust combinations 3Digits

3N to Combination to get ORD

CAL_Combinations 3N.xlsm

in this sample 180 is the Num but can be any as needed

then we have some combinations to do

not all the combination have the same  pattern
for each  row we use an combination or somes at same time
the main idea here is to apply the same template for any number needed

combinations have they are

1- mirror or
2-   1 Up or 1down
3-  or Surrounding
 as shows up

This is an template so all I want todo is use the same pattern and only change the num to be worked

1- as the Num to be worked have to be change in all rows then num get apply the combination

for example combination 1

User generated image

really what we are creating is a template where each work combination has a rule and when the number is changed all that is going to happen is the pre-established application to get the NUM  then create  the ORD

What is a "Work Combination"?

What are the rules for creating G9:I9, G11:I11, G13:I13 and G15:I15?
What are the rules for creating O9:Q9?

What is a "Work Combination"?

work combination is  one set

we have an number 180 ( but i want put any anytime)

then we have an row upper and other down

any number in location where is on (1)  i can goes one up  or one down

What is a "mirror"?

mirror is an plus 5 number

sample 0 = 5      1=6

What are the rules for creating G9:I9, G11:I11, G13:I13 and G15:I15?
What are the rules for creating O9:Q9?
each set have his own rules
we have to goes one by one

the rules are

Mirror
or
1 Up or 1down
or

Surrounding

This is like an template so  the goals is we change an number   the same rules applies for the change number

i means once the rules are set it will do the work alone

In if this is a template if you see each work combination has its own rules

the goal would be to enter the number in a single location that is replicated to all other work combinations and that the rules that apply to that work combination show the result

you can identify them with a number or letter if it helps to differentiate them
I'm sorry but I don't understand. I need the rules for the grey cells.

Lo siento pero no entiendo. Necesito las reglas para las celdas grises.
of course let's do a few one if you see them you will recognize them and just look at them for instance

1WC 1= User generated image
in WK1- first position is up add one
down subtract one

second position up is the same, down is the same

third position is mirro above
down mirror too
What is the mirror of 9?
1=6
2=7
3=8
4=9
5=0

9=4
let's do workcombination

2-User generated image
let's do workcombination

That's enough for now.
:)
Is there any reason other than decoration why M3, U3, M45 and U45 are pink?

really not only for when the view runs to know that is there where the ORD is

If I were not, I would not know where to locate myself quickly
I thought I understood some of this but I don't so in columns G to H in rows 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17 and 19 please tell me in words (no pictures) the rule for each cell. In other words something like this for each cell in each row:
G5: First digit of NUM plus 1
H5: Second digit of NUM
I5: ???

When you get to cell H13 please tell me why it's the same as H9.

G5= +1
H5= stay the same

G7= -1
H7= stay the same

G9 = +1
H9 = +1

G11 = -1
H11 = -1

G13 = +1
H13 = +1

G15 = -1
H15 = -1

G17 = mirror
H17 = stay same

G19 = stay same
H19 = stay same

When you get to cell H13 please tell me why it's the same as H9.
Yes!

i have to say

There are only 3 rules that apply to everyone
+1 or -1 ,, stay same ,, mirror

but they are combined
each WorkCombination

you already have the rule to follow
the rules will not change for each WORKCOMBINATION

what if it would change would be the number in this example we use 180
but if I want to use another number, the WORKCOMBINATION and the rules that it has already set will not change

therefore it is like making a template where the rules are put and they will always be the same for all the numbers that are verified

Not ALL WORKCOMBINATIONS have the same combinations of Rules, each one has the same rules combined in different ways
  that's why the results will not be the same
I mean that each WorkCombination has its own combination of rules
and each one different from the other
There are only 3 rules that apply to everyone
+1 or -1 ,, stay same ,, mirror

So just talking about the upper portion of the combinations in rows 5, 9 13 etcetera) in column G it looks like  I do 3 plus 1's followed by 3 mirrors followed again by 3 plus 1's. Is that correct?

I mean that each WorkCombination has its own combination of rules
and each one different from the other
Then please tell me the rules for each one.
If sometimes you will see that they are similar
but they are not because they have a little difference

it is not difficult to see the rules

1- the number we are analyzing is 180
that's why every workcombination

has in the center 1 8 0

in this example 18th is the entry number

but suppose that I want to abalize another number
like 217
then in each center of the workcombination you will see

2 1 7

but the rules in the rows above 217 or below will be the same
what were they in 180

2- each workcombination has the input number divided into 3 parts 1 8 0 is our example

1 is in column 1

8 is in column 2 of each workcombination

0 is in the third column

I wonder is she here there is no confusion ???
I have no problem telling you the rules for each workcombination

If you want, I can explain some to you

to go at your own pace, mention the order of the ones you want me to tell you so as not to get confused
I'm trying to create code that will work for every NUM that is entered into G6. That is why I need generalized rules for each combination. In other words rules that don't depend on the NUM.

This is hurting my head so I'm going to stop now and get back to it tomorrow.

I made some aesthetic improvements to help you better visualize each WorkCombination

Let me know if it looks good to you
and if it facilitates you

In your time and at your step
  slowly

No abuse, I am grateful

   I hope to work later every workcombination with the rules
to facilitate you I am going to say them as I did with G5, H5

Have a good rest !! thank you for always dedicating some time to me and taking the time to understand me
and treat me like a great friend
This one should be close.

Not sure if I got all the rules correct, I didn't understand, for example, workcombination 20 column NUM  in your sheet.
So I assumed it was just a typo/copy paste error.

Nice solution Michael, but your ORD values will be incorrect if the NUM value is changed. Here is a function that you can build into your code to get the ORD values that Adriana expects no matter what the NUM is.

Public Function OrderNumber(strNum As String) As String
' The order of numbers need to be 2, 4, 6, 8, 0, 1, 3, 5, 7, 9
' For example a number string like "295" will be
' converted to "259"
Dim intChar As Integer
Dim intNum As Integer
Dim varOrder As Variant

varOrder = Array("2", "4", "6", "8", "0", "1", "3", "5", "7", "9")
For intNum = 0 To 9
    For intChar = 1 To Len(strNum)
        If Mid$(strNum, intChar, 1) = varOrder(intNum) Then
            OrderNumber = OrderNumber & Mid$(strNum, intChar, 1)
        End If
    Next
Next
End Function

Missed that rule :-)
Great Job !! Experts

Thanks !! Michael Pfister  ,, Thanks  Martin Liss

need adjust this

WC 4 = G17 = M

WC 8 = G33 = +1

WC 9 = G37 = +1

WC 10  = G41 = +1

WC 14 = R17 = +1
