Antivirus is like ice cream. &nbsp;Everyone has a favorite flavor. &nbsp;It's also LARGELY INEFFECTIVE. &nbsp;Just upload a sample of malicious software to <a rel="ugc nofollow" target="_blank">www.virustotal.com</a> and watch as 50-80% claim the file is ok! &nbsp;And it's not like it's the same 50-80% every time. &nbsp;That said, you should have it because something is better than nothing, but if you think it's going to protect you from infection, think again. &nbsp;It may... if you're lucky... but there a very good chance it won't REGARDLESS OF WHICH ONE YOU USE.

Anti-virus software was originally developed to detect and remove computer viruses.
