Microsoft Outlook : Changes made to the item were lost because of a reconnect with the server

Hi,

We are using Exchange Servers 2016 with DAG and all users are using Outlook 2016 (Non cache mode).

Some users reported to me:
Sometimes, when they reply to the email, the system will say "Changes made to the item were lost because of a reconnect with the server." Unable to send email. However, when they click the "Send" button again, the email can be sent.

Anyone can help to solve this problem?

Thomas

The first thing I'd consider is switching to cached mode. I use non cached mode only for troubleshooting. Is there any reason why they are set as non cached?

ASKER

Hi Strivoli,

All of our Outlook clients are using online mode except users are using laptop. This problem has never seen before.  Two users encounter this issue within today (morning : 1 time and afternoon : 1 time).

It could be temporary as strivoli stated....
Do you have the ability to pull or retrieve server-side logs?
Try running the Microsoft SaRa Diagnostic tool.
Are they all on the same version and build of W10....ensure everything is fully patched with updates
As a last resort, I would reach out to Microsoft support to file a case to help investigate also.

Hi Strivoli,
Thanks for your suggestion. I will ignore this issue because the problem does not happen again. Hard to troubleshoot.

Hi Jazz,
Thanks. I will try to run Microsoft SaRa Diagnostic tool later.

Best Regards,
Thomas
