How to configure smtpclientauthenticationdisabled for selective mailboxes in Exchange 2016?

This is using MS Exchange 2016. I head we actually can disable the SMTP authentication for selective mailbox to send email. The theory is same like setup the mail receiver for selective IP/IP range (especially printer, application) for free mail relaying.

This is referring to the setting - smtpclientauthenticationdisabled ($true or $false) of set-casmailbox and organizational level - set-transportconfig. By default, all mailboxes has the casmailbox -smtpclientauthenticationdisabled with blank ($null). How to set so as the selective mailbox will not need to authenticated for free mail sending?

Thanks in advance.

I am trying to confirm your thinking.

smtpclientauthenticationdisabledmeans you are not allow authenticate on smtp protocol.
so by default, all users can authenticate on smtp protocol.

so how can a mailbox not authenticate but sending email?
what are you trying to solve?
I don't understand your statement ":the selective mailbox will not need to authenticated for free mail sending?"

Agree with Jian,
Please elaborate what you are trying to achieve as we are not 100% clear on your query.

This is the setup for some multifunction printer to use either on-prem Exchange server or Microsoft 365 to send mail. For example, configure smtp.office365.com port 587 to send mail, you have to key in the "selective" mailbox credentials so as outgoing emails can be send to internal and external recipients.

Above should be the example of "SMTP Auth Client submission" in which mailbox credentials have to be key-in. I am asking whether it is possible not need to key in any mailbox credentials for outgoing email to be "relay" to both internal and external recipients? if yes, what have to be done?
