Confusing Sharing Files in Microsoft OneDrive

This is a Windows 10, Office 365, OneDrive Environment.
All files (from all employees) would be backed up and synced anytime to the cloud.
If a computer (of the employee) is suddenly dead, we would not worry with the files; just prepared a new machine and enable the OneDrive; the employee would get “all his files’ right away.
The problem that I have is related to the SHARING FILES in OneDrive.
There is an arrangement of the files like this:
Folder 1 > Folder 2 > Folder 3 > Folder 4 > FILE X
Folder 1 is at the top (I mean “folder 2 “is under folder 1)
Folder 2 is at the top (I mean “folder 3” is under folder 2)
The email address of the company is like this:
John White à
Jeff Green à
I shared the FILE X to John White & Jeff Green
How do I do it?
Answer: I right-click the FILE X > Select OneDrive > I put John White’s and Jeff Green’s email address and hit “Send”
To my surprise, John White and Jeff Green get SHARED all my files in folder1, folder 2, folder 3 and folder 4 above.
My Goal: John & Jeff is only SHARED to FILE X
Somebody would help me to achieve the goal please.

I'm no expert on One Drive, but it seems you could create a new folder A apart from your other folders, then share file X from there.
