Cannot download in google or Edge
A client of mine is attempting to download a file in Goolgel chrome and it will start to download but then cancels the download. He tried in Mic Edge and it will get ot 1% and stop downloading. He went to another computer and it downloaded fine. Anyone have an idea what could be the solution?
Have you ensured there is enough free Disk-space available for the file? How good is the network connection of that PC? WLan could be flaky. I've seen that happen sometimes if the PC is too far away from the Router for example...

He is on the same network as the other computers. He is no further away from the router as the other computer that he could download the file from. He happens to be a mechanic and the file he is downloading is a diagnosis app that GM is providing for him to test a vehicle. He has more then enough space on the hard drive for the file. (one TB) The laptop is a brand new Dell Vostro (Two weeks old). Tomorrow morning, when he comes to work he is going to let me get on the laptop remotely and I will work on it then the your suggestions

Ok, this morning I connected to his laptop. First thing I did was disabled the extensions. Then ran the speed test. download was 6.5 MB and upload was 0.65 MB. I created a new account, logged out of the existing account and tried it there but it still wouldn't work. I downloads to 10 MB then restarts the download and after 3 tries it cancels the download. In google the error is "File incomplete" and in Microsoft edge the error is "Couldn't Download", and in internet exporer it says "Network disconnected" I tried a different file and it downloaded fine, at least in google chrome. I have not yet tried hard-wiring it yet, but why do the other computer download the file without a problem?

I'd still think it is a WLan issue. The distance being the same as the other PC's doesn't necessarily mean much. Often the location is also a problem, for example something could be obstructing the signal, a wall, something of metal, or maybe also another device that can disturb a wireless signal. The Wireless card in the PC could also be an issue, or maybe the antenna isn't properly attached...
If all else fails, if that station is covered under warranty as it's new it's possible that it's a hardware defect, especially if it works over ethernet/hardwired.
Contact Dell to report it.
Ensure all manufacturer updates are completed too.

Hello, I found out this laptop does not have a LAN connection, so I plugged in a wireless usb adapter and attempted the download. It did the same- went to 10 MB then re-started. after 3 attempts it says file inclomplete. I then attempted to download LibreOffice file and it went to 99% before stopping. I brought the laptop to my shop to try it on my wifi but I forgot to get the password, so will have to wait until tomorrow morning to try it out again.

thanks for helping me with this issue. We finally did a clean install and everything worked fine. I came to the conclusion that the antivirus was causing the issue and even though I uninstalled it, there was still residue left in the registry that was messing with us.
It could be a false positive malicious file though or picked up by an antivirus extension/blocked, checked the antivirus software. Run a full scan then temp disable as a test.
Apply all Microsoft W10 updates, e.g. is Edge updated?
Are other files ok.....
Also, possibly test under another user profile on the station.
Test with them hardwired via ethernet if a laptop and compare against Wi-Fi the download speed/success.
