Why sent mails not stored in the Send folder for MS Exchange server 2013?

This is using ms exchange 2013. A user reported that he sent 2 mails this morning. The emails were sent out and the recipient was received. However, the user can find these 2 sent mails in the "sent" folder of his MS Outlook. 

We already checked that these 2 emails not dropping in his "sent" folder in owa as well. What could be the reason why mails can't find in the sent folder?

Yes, can't find.

Checked that the option “Save copies of messages in the Sent Items folder.” was checked.
Only these 2 were found missing, others all can be found.

Is user sending on-behalf of any other mailbox? like a shared mailbox

Hi Amit,

No, the user send directly. We still can't figure out why these 2 emails were missing. The only "excuse" is the user may "deleted" them accidentally. 
Experts Exchange has (a) saved my job multiple times, (b) saved me hours, days, and even weeks of work, and often (c) makes me look like a superhero! This place is MAGIC!
