2012 R2 server - Windows server All updates fail to run

I am having a terrible time trying to update one of my 2012 R2 Windows servers. I have tried several fixes that haven't helped including renaming the windows update folder, adding a 'missing' Cryptsvc' registry setting, downloading the updates individually from the Microsoft Update Catalog site where they fail from there as well. It's strange that it seems sometimes that an update will begin but then fail part-way through. This is a backup server that i do NOT want  to rebuild but figure there must be a way to resolve this. I am attaching whatever screenshots and logs that i can find. Please help my friends!
