Power BI - what are Power Apps and Power Automate used for

I have, just started on Power BI and I have been told that Power Automate and Power Apps work hand in hand with it. I have an Office 365 subscription. Do these come free? Also what are these two apps used for? I am an ASP.net and Excel Add-in developer.

Microsoft Office
