After taking snapshot of a VM - Do i need to delete the snapshot

Hi

I had configured and new virtual appliance and the vendor configured the virtual appliance.

He told me to take the snapshot of the virtual appliance after the configuration was done and I had taken the snapshot of the VM.

Because it was a new VM,  I have not done the Veeam backup yet and will start doing the Veeam backup from today.

If I right-click the Virtual appliance – It gives Manage Snapshot, Revert to latest snapshot and Delete all snapshot.

If I click Manage snapshot – It gives Delete and Revert to.

Please suggest do I need to delete the snapshot or revert.

OR if I do the Veeam backup, will it consolidate the snapshots.
