hi guys,

I want to install a wireless authentication system on our network, that would integrate with LDAP to grant various levels of access to users.  We have an environment with Meraki Mr42's and MR44 access points and MS250  switches at each site. We have multiple sites, all of them connected via MPLS, along with Windows servers in a Vmware environment. I thought in order to have the right setup we would be able to setup a Windows network policy server as its radius server. However, I was told by an expert that we should really be looking into investing in the 'the right kit, like proper Cisco servers'.

We would not want network performance affected or hindered, as I have read a lot of corporations do mis-configure these causing all sorts of issues.

Can I have some of your expert knowledge about what sort of investments you would make and why?  Would hardware investments be required?

Thanks for helping

Yashy
