Wordpress blog articles name format.

How to change the wordpress blog article name format?

Hi experts, I hired someone to build a new website in WP. I notice that when I create a blog article ( I have a blog page on the main menu) the article name is my website name /date/article name. i.e if I create a blog article tpdau titled Nmap commands, it is displayed as mywesite/2021/11/02/nmap-commands.


Is there a way to change the format to eliminate the date from the name?

https://yoast.com/help/how-do-i-change-the-permalink-structure/ provides a good walk through.

You'll likely change the structure to /%postname%/ to remove the entire date string.
