How to create advance tables in power point?

I'm using Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise.  My operating system is Microsoft Windows 10 Enterprise.

Please provide steps for creating advance tables in Microsoft Power Point.  By advance I mean tables with few layers of heading and subheadings.  Single layer of heading in first columns.  Multi layer heading in remaining columns.

Please provide examples to create sharp looking tables.  How to choose different design, styles, colors, etc.

Basically, PowerPoint table styles are not very good. They also do not include tools to automatically create multi-headed columns with subheads and things like that.

If you're trying to create complex tables as you described, you're going to end up doing quite a bit of manual formatting. When you insert a table and select it, the table formatting tools are available on the table design and layout tabs.

Some of my favorite tips for creating clean tables can be seen here: https://www.darkhorseanalytics.com/blog/clear-off-the-table

Please provide steps for creating this table in powerpoint.  How to create top two rows?
Create all the rows as you normally would with five columns and however many rows. Select all cells in the top row and use the merge cells tool on I think it's on the table layout tab, but it could be on the table design tab.

I'm not understanding how merge cells will leave upper left hand corner of the table without cells.  Upper left hand corner of the table should not have cells because year 2021 and months Oct through Feb don't apply to first column.
