Are you saying that want see if there are matches within one or two weeks below the row that contains the number. If so that will take a very long time to run.

Yes  i want to do it

But don't hurt the file, what a lot of work we've been through
Martin Liss

Let's say I have a value in row 36. Do I look for that same value in weeks 1W2012 and 2W2012, or do I look in rows 10 to 35 (14 days)?

If i have a value and it's in both 1 week before and two weeks before, what color should it be? I could make it green, or rose, or a combination of the two like in BYPLAY.

if you want and you can show graphically what you want to say to see if I can understand

What I'm asking is this. If I'm looking for 446 in row 36, do I look in the rows bracketed by the red line or do I look in the rows bracketed by the green line? I assume it's the red line but I just want to be sure.

And you didn't answer this question.

Perhaps give a foolproof LENGTHIER decription of what you need.

The initial description was:
4n to mark the shown tri in DD-X fro 1 and 2 weeks
1- with  one week green
2- with 2weeks  rose

Martin Liss

FYI Peter, in a previous workbook of Adriana's she asked a similar question and she decided that if a value was within 1 week before it was colored one color, if it was within 2 weeks before it was colored a different color and if it was found in both places it was colored a combination of the two colors. I also deleted the last line in your comment because it was insulting.

Martin ok green bracket

The number 211 is in 2W2012 cells AN29 and BA29.
The number 211 is in 1W2012 cells L12, T12, U12, V12, AW12, G16 and I16.

Which cells should be green?
ADRIANA P

ASKER
Which cells should be green?

always the first appearance on the line is good to me

right now that you are identifying for example some numbers are repeating on the same line

but those repetitions will be supplanted with new values once I identify it (I am working to identify new values that make MATCH)

my question is the new value will be identified by your program

when it is in different columns they have to be both or both since it is another source
Martin Liss

Please tell me specifically which cells should be green.

And am I looking for matches 1 and 2 weeks before a cell value or 1 and 2 weeks after a cell value?
ADRIANA P

we are looking prospectively

not back

that means that first the number comes out in the columns I to AK and AM to BO

then it is match with columns E and G respectively and it is downwards (forward on the date) not backwards

when is in the same row the first is L12 , then AW12  both should be greens
because they are from 2 sources   but same line
ADRIANA P

ASKER
remember that a number arises and from that number the lines L to AK and AM to BO arise

One time there are lines L to AK and AM to BO so I want to know where the MATCH comes from, which is the correct prediction
Martin Liss

If I'm searching for a match for the 211 that's in row 12...
Is row 24 the last row in the "one week" period?
Is row 37 the last row in the "2weeks" period?

I want to explain this to you the starting point

is where I see that we are confused

columns E G are not the ones that should be taken to search in columns I to AK and AM to BO

example

1-a number comes out as is the case of 6683 by itself a DD number

create two sets of possibilities

one is number 663 (columns I to AK) and 668 (columns AM to BO)

up to here is easy

2- now I will match the numbers that are down that is
I look at the columns I to AK and AM to BO

and down I make a match with the columns E G

  not reverse

3- we go in one direction making a match and it is down
ADRIANA P

ASKER
the starting point is the columns

I to AK and AM to BO

then look at columns E and G

but the match but what is underneath

In my search I only look for the numbers in columns I to BO and I only search for those numbers in columns I to BO.

When I looked for 668 I found it in AQ23 so why shouldn't 668 be rose?

E and G are the result and not the one who predicts

That's because there are no ORDs (column BF) in Sheet1 past row 6659. If you add the missing ORDs, click GetData on both the DD-X and TRIG sheets and then click the DTON button on both sheets you should get correct results.

an situation arise working with the Data

in DD-X

if a have an number like 8800

numbers like
4400
4466
8833

and others alike with the same pattern

8800 for example should give 800 and 880 but it give 800 in both sides si we are missing  hits  and matchs

8833  present 833  833 in both sides

but should be

883  and 833

so we missing oneside of data
