Synching iPhone to iPad without iCloud?

Synching iPhone to iPad without iCloud?

A friend wants an iPad but dislikes using the cloud for storage. How can you sync up the two?

And how do you keep them synced??

Thanks

I guess having a Mac in the middle is a good solution. I was thinking more along the lines of AirDrop and Bluetooth. This person would prefer any update on the iPad to be reflected in the iPhone with no manual effort.

You should tell them that no manual effort implies having some service performing the sync or copy. There is no such thing as photo's that transfer on their own from device a to b. Even using Airdrop needs to be initiated by the user. Any response on the Google cloud suggestion? If not then this is where you tell them it can't be done.
