Exchange 2016 quarantined mailbox

Dear EE, my Exchange user has issue of quarantined mailbox. Can you kindly explain the root causes and solutions for it? Many thanks!


I tried these but did not help much, the problem keep happening:

- changed "Crash Count value” in the CrashCount key to 2.

- dismount / remount that user's database 

- disable mailbox and enable again

Hi, I did not try the "New-MailboxRepairRequest ", not sure about the time it takes to complete the process because that mailbox is quite big (>30 GB). And during the repair process, can user access mailbox?

User confirmed that he only used web mail, not the Outlook. So what is the root cause?

Hi Mas, I tried but the issue happened again even when the process was completed, it said the fix for "AggregateCounts (4)" was successful.

I noticed when I tried to delete 4 messages (that cannot be viewed) in Inbox folder, the mailbox crashed.
