How to upgrade/speed up MySQL on EC2 Server

We have a website running on AWS EC2 Ubuntu server m5.4xlarge. We have a mysql DB with some large tables ie: million records.

The site is running laravel 8 using laravel forge

Seems the mysql is getting slowed down often throughout the day. If I reboot mysql its quick for a brief time.

We have a number of commands fetching data. About 100 users logged in etc.

After hours runs much quicker since the users etc. are all logged off.

Any idea how I can speed up/improve mysql? I'm looking to add more memory or what have you. Basically brute force it faster.

Queries run fine etc. I'm just guessing the DB memory isn't enough and we occasionally get 'out of memory' errors

You should provide the Spec Memory, CPU available.

Does it have a phpmyadmin  through status you can look at the suggetion it makes to possibly make the improvements you are after.

Ok I'll check that as well.
While I have you:
I was receiving a message in php 7.4 logs:
laravel forge WARNING: [pool www] server reached pm.max_children setting (5)
So I set children to 30
Seeing this:
[17-Nov-2021 19:05:30] WARNING: [pool www] seems busy (you may need to increase pm.start_servers, or pm.min/max_spare_servers), spawning 8 children, there are 2 idle, and 13 total children

Any idea? I'm hoping this may be part of my issue
