Setting Up POP and IMAP client for exchange server 2019

Hi,

I have two exchange servers 2019 and they have DAG between them. I am trying to set up POP3 and IMAP on a client.

When testing clients I can log to the incoming mail server pop, however, I got an error for SMTP. "Send test e-mail message:   The server responded: 550 5.7.60 SMTP; Client d"

Any suggestions?

Why use IMAP or POP when you have an Exchange server?

I am trying to make sure all features are working.

Make sure authentication is used on the SMTP connector (and hence, also in your Outlook outgoing SMTP settings).
Also make sure the IP numbers are correct, so only your clients can use it.

While it may seems you're doing due diligence by making everything work, you are adding 3 extra attack vectors to your network. Plus those are INFERIOR protocols both in technology and in user experience.

I really hope you'll DISABLE POP/IMAP/SMTP access after successful testing?
Use SWAKS for testing your connection, rather than your MTA logs.

Using SWAKS allows easy experimentation to debug problems.

https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/29215959/Cannot-send-emails-Linux-command-line-to-Google-SMTP.html provides detail about using SWAKS.

While you're running SWAKS, also camp on your exchange log using tail or similar, to correlate your log entries with SWAKS output.

Likely the problem + fix will be clear.
