Wifi signal auto switch

Hello Experts,

I have a Wifi router and an extender at home. In some areas, the router signal strength is high (area A) and in some the extender signal is very high (area B). When I am using my Apple and Android devices, I see no auto switch of signal that happens between both the areas.

For example, I am in A and I walk into B. If am still connected to A with just one line, I expect the wifi to auto-connect to the signal in B. Is there any setting in these devices to enable such a thing? Or any tool in the market that can help me with the above? I currently manually switch between the two, which is really frustrating as I need to do every time I walk around the house. Any inputs appreciated. Thanks.
