Azure AD dc refresh

Hello Experts,

I am in the process of building a new DC 2019 into an existing single forest/domain with functional level 2012.

once the new DC 2019 is ready, I am planning to transfer FSMO roles from old 2012/2016 server to new 2019 DC, and decommission old DCs.

Since this company has already Azure AD connect to syn on prem to the Azure cloud, I wonder if you can provide all steps to be done from the Azure AD connect, to see new DC and make sure everything works well.

Thoughts?

There should be no issues with AADConnect. It looks at the Domain, not at a single DC. As long as you are adding the new DC as an additional DC in an existing domain it should just keep syncing. We replace DCs when needed to upgrade (Using 2022 now) and there have been no issues.

Any manual task that needs to be done as a result of demoting 2 DCs from the forest, and the promotion of a new 2019 DC in Azure AD connect?
