Have an older iMac that had a wireless touch pad go bad.
Having trouble trying to set up a new Mac wireless mouse as it's not being discovered.
Would like to use a wired mouse and was told a PC USB mouse would work.
I plugged in a Dell mouse ,but it's not being recognized.
Do I need a mouse made specifically for a Mac or will any PC mouse do?

Took a while for the mouse to be recognized,but it works
OK via usb now.

What model / type is that exactly? Did you try a different USB port?

A normal wired mouse should work just fine, you may have to check the scroll direction in mouse settings.
