asked on can you have multipul destination ports for a cisco port mirror?
hey all I have an exisiting port mirror configured for a security device that monitors network traffic and I would like to configure another destination port for the same appliance as I am seeing errors that there is packet loss due to link utilization
example config
monitor session 1 source interface Gi1/0/1 - 39 , Gi1/0/41 - 48
monitor session 1 source interface Gi2/0/1 - 48
monitor session 1 destination interface Gi1/0/40 encapsulation replicate
Is it a simple matter of changing config to the following?
monitor session 1 source interface Gi1/0/1 - 39 , Gi1/0/41 - 48
monitor session 1 source interface Gi2/0/1 - 39 , Gi2/0/41 - 48
monitor session 1 destination interface Gi1/0/40 Gi2/0/40 encapsulation replicate
